It is very rare these days to have the good fortune to watch a children’s film made in the UK. But this film has all of the merits of good acting; superb scenery (Scotland) and a story that is both easy to follow and entertaining from the very beginning.
Young Alex Etel, who also starred in ‘Millions’: another excellent British film, not only plays his part superbly but also exudes charm and compassion; and is every bit the young boy brought up during World War Two. If you haven’t had the good fortune to watch it, I thoroughly recommend it.
