I remember watching a film about a wife who is getting abuse from her husband who is either a drunk or landlord or both.I am sure she kills him or maybe poisons him.

The only other bit i remember is either her or someone (a woman) throws themselves off a bridge.

Now i thought it was called Pink Ribbon & Old Lace but the other titles i found are American etc.

And this film was definitely British.

I watched this in the late 1980's on BBC 1 or 2 because after this i watched The Ghost & Mrs Muir and have that one !

Any help please ?!
