This two-part chronicle recounts, with simplicity, fifty years in the life of a woman in a small provincial town. Widowed at a young age, she must provide for herself and her child, a little boy on whom she lavishes all her affection. A unique relationship, built on exclusive love, develops over the years between this mother and her son.
