For Christiane and Mathis, a nightmare becomes reality: their son Jonas has been involved in a surfing accident in Hawaii and is missing. The couple takes the next plane. Their daughter Lotte, who is practicing for an audition with the youth orchestra, is left behind, shocked and bitterly disappointed.
