Natalie's life is up in the air. The 13-year-old girl and her little brother Bern are separated from their mother and feel imprisoned by the new everyday life of the foster home. Waiting for contact to their sick mother a subtle drama slowly evolves about guilt, dependency and absolution between sister and brother.
