The Kalachevs save on everything, and their father, school teacher Rostik, keeps track of expenses in a notebook and dreams of a grant. The family is not discouraged, participating in relay races, lotteries and competitions where they can win a useful prize. Everything changes when Rostik gets a winning ticket for a billion rubles.
