It documents St. Vincent's Orphanage in Canada, where many of the boys suffer physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the hands of the brothers who run the facility. Powerful drama about the physical and sexual abuse of boys at the boarding school. The first part deals with the boys and the police detective who discovers the abuse. Good acting by all the actors, and the adults who play the abusive priests should get credit for playing such controversial roles. The second part deals with the boys as young adults and the trial that ensues. The young men wonder why no one was prosecuted and the priests were moved to other locations. This part is at its best during the trial scenes. Recommended Rating: 8/10 |
