Corinne (Miou-Miou) is a Parisian detective who is transferred to a small village in Northern France when an investigation uncovers evidence that is potentially damaging to some powerful local politicians. She is temporarily given a desk job before she is called on to solve the murder of a little girl. Her inquiry uncovers a child pornography ring that targets children from the working class. Фильм Ива Буассе остался бы обычным "поляром", который, правда, оказался во Франции одним из рекордсменов года по результатам проката (наверно, из-за пикантности затронутой темы), если бы не великолепная игра Миу-Миу, чрезвычайно искренней, эмоционально раскованной, обостренно переживающей все происходящее и заставляющей ощутить неподдельную боль за несправедливость, подлость и циничный разврат во внешне благопристойном обществе. Сочетание твердости и решительности в поступках, бескомпромиссности позиции с душевной тревогой и деликатностью в подходе даже к неприятному и отталкивающему, с ее собственной беззащитностью делает эту женщину-полицейского с обликом девочки-подростка такой же невинной и обманутой жертвой порочной системы, как и юных подзащитных героини.

A nice slice of the past. This is a French classic. Not necessarily a very good movie but its subject matter was fairly new at the time and pushed some boundaries: a woman cop going after a network of child abusers in the northern regions of France, plagued by poverty and a declining local economy. A child gets killed and during the investigation, a sordid truth appears. In one of the scene, she and her colleague uncover a stash of child porn and I am amazed that they got actual mags from the 70s that they end up showing on camera. Rating: 9/10 |
