After her husband's death, young Elisabeth Teky struggles to keep her wineyard in Langenlois, a city in Lower Austria, alive. Thus, her caretaker, Korbinian Grammelshuber, aims for an arranged marriage to a rich winemaker. At the same time a rich wine merchant named Steffie Köster asks her nephew Richard to buy wine from Elisabeth.
