It became the custom that Cossacks lives in Russia turn to be dramatic and unpredictable, Be it Don Cossacks, Amur or others. The same is about Amur Cossack Aleksey Butov (B.Brondukov). He leaves for the battle-front during the World War I, and everything gets under way: in 1915 he gets injured and is taken prisoner, then escapes, participates in a revolution, fights during the Civil War on the side of the Red Army. And now, in 1923, he finally comes back home, to Amur. But everyone considers him to be deceased. His wife couldnt wait and married his best friend, they got a daughter, and his native son doesnt recognize him. All that is insufferable for him, but he needs to keep on living, and also defend the borders from the Chinese and White Guardians gang, raging around. And Aleksey starts handling all that. - IMDb
Фильм рассказывает о приключениях амурского казака Алексея Бутова. Как ушел он на фронт в Первую Мировую, так и пошло: в 1915 году был ранен и попал в плен, бежал, потом участвовал в революции, воевал в Гражданскую на стороне красных. И вот, наконец-то, в 1923 голу вернулся домой, на Амур. Но здесь все считали его погибшим в том далеком 1915 году. Жена не выдержала и вышла замуж за его лучшего друга, у них растет дочь, а родной сын не признает в нем отца, это невыносимо, но надо как-то жить дальше, а еще защищать границы от набегов китайцев и орудующей в этих местах недобитой белогвардейской банды. И Алексей начинает со всем этим разбираться.
