An English archaeologist discovers the remains of an ancient Chinese ship sunk in the middle of the Kalihari Desert (which is supposed to have been an inland sea explored by the Chinese long, long ago.) Inside the ship and now buried in the sand are priceless imperial treasures from the first dynasty. A member of the professor's crew betrays the professor to a female criminal organization living in Johannesburg, South Africa. This criminal is named Madame Wong - and is a sort of a Cruella De Vil Asian style. Her two clumsy lieutenants are as comically incompetent as they are wicked. When the threesome kidnap the professor and his soon-to-be fiancée, they demand to be taken to the treasure. What they don't know is that the professor's 12-year-old son Alec (Ben Jeffrey) is flying into Johannesburg from London to visit him. When the professor fails to meet the boy at the airport, he falls in with a crew of street urchins, who help him find his father. - CVMC
