This drama was based on a story that ran in the ~Saturday Evening Post. Sam Webster, the minister of a small town church (Bert Lytell), sees the village youths hanging around the pool hall and becoming delinquents. He resolves to build a boys club to keep them out of trouble, but he has a problem drumming up enthusiasm for the project. He needs five thousand dollars to fund the club, and he approaches tight-fisted grocer Stedman (Joseph Kilgour) for half the money. Stedman only offers 25 dollars and Webster walks away in disgust. Instead he goes to Stedman's rival, Jarvis (Edward Connelly), and offers to go into business with him. Any profits on Webster's part will go toward the club. The boys, who realize what the minister is doing for them, chip in and they help Jarvis beat out Stedman. The angry Stedman forces Webster out of the pulpit, even though his daughter, Dorothy (Alice Lake), is in love with him. But the old grocer comes around when a clerk sets his store on fire and Webster and the boys come to the rescue. Webster and Dorothy marry at the new clubhouse on the day it opens. ~ Janiss Garza, All Movie Guide
