Many congratulations to all at Rarefilmfinder - and especially The Administrator - on having reached around 11,000 members: a magnificent achievement for a specialist movie site.

According to a recent Web analysis (conducted in November, 2012) Rarefilmfinder has an average of 798 visitors and 5,107 page views per day. It has a load time of 0.689 seconds - 84% faster than the norm. At the time of writing, there are 37,559 films/TV productions on its database. It is, unquestionably, the best source of information on the Internet with regard to films for, about or involving children and young people. It is an invaluable tool for anyone researching world cinema in general. Its potential usage goes far beyond the interests of the core membership. As far as I am aware, its success is largely down to the inspiration and hard work of the Russian gentleman who leads it; he deserves unending praise - and the support of all the members. I, for one, have derived enormous benefit from the information I have found here.

This just seemed an appropriate moment for congratulation! I hope and trust many others will feel the same.

So, once again, congratulations - and thanks!

As one of the users that you call the "core membership", I strongly agree with everything that you said.

Thank you for your endorsement. May I extend my thanks to members such as yourself who make regular contributions to the forum.

It is often possible to identify a movie by reference to specific scenes. By way of example, your recent post on the "Looking For Movie Title" section of this forum led to a very rapid response from our esteemed leader who identified it as "Aksharaya". Many other users will now be able to link that particular scene to the title of the movie, and so we all benefit.

By the way, I liked your comparison between British football (soccer) and American football. We also play a game called Rugby which is quite physically rough - or at least I thought so when I had to attempt to play it at school!

Yes, well said MellowDramatic. RareFilmFinder deserves all the praise it can get, and with such unstinting dedication from the instigator and administrator, he should be mentioned in dispatches.

Thank you for your kind words. It is pleasing when members give each other support and encouragement.

May I also thank you for all the very helpful and enjoyable movie commentaries you have made in the relatively short time that you have been a member.

I particularly enjoyed "Village of Dreams", a movie I knew little about until I read your comment. It is, perhaps, not as well known as some other titles in the listings yet I'm sure many other members would also enjoy it:

"E no naka no boku no mura" (1996)
aka "Village of Dreams"

Thank you for kind words, MelloDramatic. Yes, 'Village of Dreams' is a really enjoyable film, and considering that it is little more than a quasi documentary on their early years, it has been very successfully pieced together with one or two very charming scenes; and with flawless acting on the part of the two small boys.

It would be interesting to see one or two more comments on this film from others who have seen it.
