A reporter from Yekaterinburg, on assignment from his editorial office, finds himself in a village lost in the taiga, where he hears an ancient legend about the lord of the forest. Returning home, he suddenly begins to see and hear this ancient spirit, who asks him to save the disappearing fantastic creatures. Репортер из Екатеринбурга (Александр Яценко) по заданию редакции оказался в затерянном среди тайги селении, где услышал старинное предание о владыке леса. Вернувшись домой, он внезапно начинает видеть и слышать этого древнего духа, который просит спасти исчезающих фантастических созданий. Журналист соглашается и вместе с 12-летней дочерью, приехавшей к нему на каникулы из Москвы, отправляется в края, почти нетронутые цивилизацией.
