Carlos Benede is an inspector in the victim-protection unit. He must care for 11-year-old Alexander, whose father killed his mother in front of him. Alexander must testify as a witness in court and his father is sent to jail. During the trial, Alexander builds up an intense relationship with Carlos and wishes to stay with him instead of his alcoholic auntie.
