Twelve year-old friends Jeremy, Tim, and Mark are outgrowing their fort in the woods, to Jeremy's disappointment. When Jeremy's attempts to keep his friends together appear to fail, he lashes out in a destructive rage. He conceals his actions with a lie that keeps his friends on his side and the three of them unified against a false enemy.
