An ancient Ring thought lost for centuries has been found, and through a strange twist in fate has been given to a small Hobbit named Frodo. When Gandalf discovers the Ring is in fact the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron, Frodo must make an epic quest to the Cracks of Doom in order to destroy it! However he does not go alone. He is joined by Gandalf, Legolas the elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Aragorn, Boromir and his three Hobbit friends Merry, Pippin and Samwise. Through mountains, snow, darkness, forests, rivers and plains, facing evil and danger at every corner the Fellowship of the Ring must go. Волшебник Гэндальф, придя на 111-ый день рождения к своему старому другу Билбо Баггинсу, начинает вести разговор о кольце, которое Библо нашел много лет назад. Оказывается, это кольцо принадлежало когда-то темному властителю Средиземья Саурону, и оно дает большую власть своему обладателю. Теперь Саурон хочет вернуть себе власть над Средиземьем. Библо отдает найденное кольцо своему племяннику Фродо, который пытается научиться справляться с тем страшным могуществом, которое дает ему кольцо. Однако скоро Фродо вместе со своими друзьями хоббитами оставит дом и отправится в путешествие к Расщелинам судьбы, чтобы уничтожить кольцо до того, как оно попадет в чьи-нибудь плохие руки. Их путешествие будет полно опасностей, включая встречу со всеми злыми силами Средиземья. Однако у компании Фродо появятся новые помощники, среди которых будут люди и эльфы.
