In the decades since release, no similar film has generated more public interest, or conroversy, than The Genesis Children. Considered lost for almost twenty years, The Genesis Children has acquired mythic stature among art house devotees. Peter Glawson portrays the charismatic leader of a high-spirited student group on holiday in Italy. The surreal adventures of Peter and friends have been described as a free-flowing "multi-sensual symphony," bereft of traditional story line. One national critic described the boys' anarchic reveiry as a "dream-like descent from civilization into the chaos reminiscent of Lord of the Flies."

This is without doubt one of the most rediculous films I have ever seen. It has no plot; the acting is pitiful and the actual camerawork can only be described as risible! As far as I can tell, it was probably only made to titilate the dim-witted. |

This is a great movie! What it's lacking in plot it makes up for in visuals. I strongly recommend this film to anyone that can get a hold of it. Rating: 10/10 |

The photography of this movie is great. The boys are cute, but they cannot act at all. The movie has no plot as it is trying to be artistic. So bad, it is kitsch! Basically an adult male (who seems to have many different guises) is the only attempt at a storyline. The kids come from a school (probably a religious school), and go on a trip to Italy. The go to the beach, swim, build forts, and try to read the bad dialogue that was written. I'm sure there are many people who love this film, but I am not one of them. Recommended for it kitchy and historic value. Rating: 4/10 |
