Summer 1967: 12-year-old kids, Pawel, Piotr, Szymek, and Elka, meet a fascinating, mysterious Jewish boy. David Weiser opens for them a new world – of miracles and mystique. He is scheming something unusual. However, at the very last moment an accidental explosion occurs. Weiser disappears without a trace and despite investigation neither his body nor his clothes can be found.
The year is 2000: Pawel Heller comes back from Germany to his home town. Pawel still cannot forget Weiser's baffling disappearance. Who was this boy? Was the disappearance just another of his tricks? Or was there something more sinister behind it? The long forgotten past comes back to him with magical force.
Польша, 1967 год. 12-летний еврейский мальчик Давид Вайзер живет с дедушкой. Он необщителен, замыкается в своих мыслях, играет в какие-то странные игры. Позже к этим странным и даже страшным играм присоединяются еще один мальчик и девочка. Им суждено будет рисковать, лежа на взлетной полосе под садящимся самолетом, стоять на рельсах перед приближающимся поездом, взрывать старые постройки. Один такой взрыв наделает шуму и обернется трагедией… Будут обвинения в смерти Вайзера. Будут поиски виноватых. Это продолжится и 30 лет спустя, куда зритель перенесется вместе с повзрослевшими героями.
